We also use tools that attach to the front of panels. These are gaskets which pull or suck dents and dings out, returning the metal to its original position.
Depending on the severity of the dent, we may use a combination of tools to manipulate the metal from the back and front. The aim here is to return the metal to its original position. Aluminium and steel have some shape memory which means with a little help they can return to their original position quite well. There is more to the process than sucking out a dent though, and if the paint is damaged special care is necessary.
